Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Internet Speed Test collects when you use our speed test tool and website, and how it's used.

Data Collected During a Speed Test

Running a speed test transfers data to and from a third-party network measurement endpoint solely to calculate your download and upload throughput; this data is not personally identifying and is not stored by us beyond the immediate test. Your test results (download, upload, ping, jitter, and timestamp) are stored only in your own browser's local storage, on your own device we do not transmit or store your result history on our servers.

IP Address and Approximate Location

To show your approximate ISP and location alongside your test result, we use a third-party IP lookup service that processes your public IP address; this happens directly in your browser and is subject to that service's own privacy practices.

Analytics

We may use standard, privacy-respecting website analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (which pages are visited, approximate country of visitors) to improve our content. This data is aggregated and not used to identify individual visitors.

Cookies

This site may use minimal functional cookies necessary for basic site operation. We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising tracking beyond what is disclosed here.

Third-Party Services

Our speed test relies on third-party network infrastructure to perform the actual measurement, and our IP/ISP lookup relies on a third-party API both are industry-standard, publicly documented services also used by many other web tools.

Your Choices

You can clear your local test history at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site. You can also use browser privacy settings or extensions to limit any third-party data processing described above.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Our speed test tool does not require any personal information to function.

Data Retention

Because your test history is stored only in your browser's local storage rather than on our servers, retention is entirely under your control clearing your browser data removes it immediately. We do not maintain a separate server-side copy of your individual results.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our tools or practices evolve; the "last updated" context is reflected in this page's structured data. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
